Timothy’s model provides a stunning and accurate reproduction of Donato Bramante’s Temple capturing the atmosphere of this 16th Century building, which was commissioned by Ferdinand and Isabel to commemorate the crucifixion of St Peter. As with all models, the Tempietto was researched and a great deal of help was given by the classical architect Tom Rajkovich of Chicago and his colleagues at Notre Dame University, notably Victor Deupi.

This model is one of a limited edition of ten. The models are hand made in plaster; the temple roof is lead as is the spindled balustrade. The model is in sections: the base, lower drum and peristyle with metopes, each one detailed and correct. Inside the main frieze is a raised circular ceiling containing coffered sections with triglyph detail on the concave internal face. A series of plates, further decorate the building. The grilled shaft, which on the real building allows light into the crypt is decorated inside with inscriptions and cherub faces. A series of small plates inscribed in Latin further decorate the exterior of the building.

Weight: 9 kgDimensions: 18 inches (46cm) high, 13 inches (33cm) diameter.~The Tempietto|tempietto_LEM|~1031~1039~~

Built from 1904 to 1907 and one of the most celebrated of Gaudi’s designs. The building has references throughout to St George and the dragon, patron saint to Catalonia. He managed to work in a refreshing, light style when compared to the contemporary structures of Barcelona.

The materials used in this model are plaster lead, copper and brass. The model includes patinated copper foil on the upper face, the area that Gaudi has decorated with ceramic plates on the actual buildingThe building would seem to be difficult to date and of no definite style, a forerunner to Disney. Gaudi was a spiritual man and a loner and fought for recognition for part of his life. At times his work received derision, however his work was spared through the civil war as being of artistic merit.

The last 2 remaining models have now been released although some are reserved. Measuring 6.5in x 11.5in x 3, the model has become highly collectable.~Casa Battlo|casabattlo_M|~1031~1041~~

The Temple Bar is a symbol of importance to all lawyers and judges, "The Temple" being the legal centre of the City.

The model is very detailed on both sides and designed to be seen in the round. The legal system of Britain was adopted throughout the empire and North America. This Scots style classic terrace was typical of many New Town houses built in Edinburgh during the 1860's. More restrained and austere than its southern cousins (see Jane Austen House) it nevertheless is very handsome with its cast iron balcony and pillared front doorway.

Today Edinburgh remains a magnificent, well-preserved city of wide streets and large squares. Alongside this Georgian new town is the older medieval city centred on the famous Royal Mile of Edinburgh.
