Located at Passeig de Gracia 92 in Barcelona, Spain, La Pedrera (which means quarry in English) was the last great civil work, which Gaudí created before dedicating his time to the construction of the Sagrada Família. Construction was completed between 1906, the year in which Gaudí signed the first plans, and the end of December of 1910, Today La Pedrera is property of the financial entity Caixa de Catalunya. UNESCO declared it a World Heritage Site in 1984.

Our model is of one of the rooftop chimneys/doorway and is made of plaster. This piece called for us to portray mosaic tiles which meant a bit of experimenting as we had little experience of producing a mosaic tile like finish to a model.

We hope you like it?
